Do you make character/sculpted cakes?

Somethin' Extra Sweet does NOT create cakes with copies of characters on them though you can order a cake inspired by characters or provide your own topper of a character to be added to the cake. I do NOT create cakes sculpted into shapes.

Do you have any vegan, gluten-free, or sugar-free options?

I offer a few vegan cake/cupcake options at this time, reach out and ask what's available! I do NOT offer gluten-free or sugar-free options.

Do you deliver?

Orders that are over $200 can be delivered for an additional fee based off the distance from my home to your location. All orders under $200 must be picked up. I require delivery for cakes that are 2 or more tiers to ensure that your cake arrives in great condition! Delivery is only to addresses in a 40 mile radius from Annapolis, MD.

Can your desserts be shipped?

Desserts are only available for pick up or delivery in the DC Metro area at this time!

How far in advance should I place my order?

2 weeks in advance is the minimum amount of time and order can be placed. For orders under $100, payment is due in full 48 hours after order is confirmed/invoice is sent. For orders over $100, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total quote is due 48 hours after your order is confirmed and the balance is due 2 weeks before your date of pickup or delivery!

 *If order is placed less than 2 weeks before the date, the payment is due in full at the time of confirmation*

*Last minute requests  (less than 2 weeks in advance) will incur a rush fee and are NOT guaranteed to be accommodated as acceptance is based on my availability*

I recommend that wedding or large event orders are placed 4 weeks in advance due to the extra planning required! I only accept a limited number of orders each day so the sooner you book, the more availability I have!

Do you take last minute orders?

I encourage you to not wait until the last minute to place an order but I occasionally have openings so it doesn't hurt to ask! If I do have last minute openings, keep in mind that there is a minimum rush fee of $15 added to each order that is placed less than 2 weeks before the date of pick up/delivery. Order inquiries placed less than 5 days in advance will NOT be fulfilled!

How should I store my cake or cupcakes before my event?

I recommend keeping your cake or cupcakes in a cold (refrigerated if possible) area until about 30 minutes before you plan to enjoy it so that the cake stays fresh and so that the frosting doesn't melt on hot days!

Can I make changes to my order after paying?

Changes can be made up 1 week before date of pick up or delivery. Keep in mind that some changes might incur extra charges. This includes changes to pick up date/time (keep in mind that date and time changes might not be able to be accommodated).

Am I able to get a refund if I cancel my order?

Somethin' Extra Sweet does not provide refunds if orders are canceled less than 1 week before the date of pick up or delivery. Refunds are given for 50% of the total order cost if cancelled more than 1 week in advance as the 50% deposit is non-refundable. In lieu of a refund you can use the amount paid as a credit for a future order. If you need to change the date of your order, please reach out as soon as possible, date changes are dependent on on availability.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Somethin' Extra Sweet sends invoices that accept PayPal or credit/debit payments.
